i laugh, and in the back of my mind, i think, 'well, my thoughts are exactly vise versa '

people say that there are only two types of ways in this world to deal with problems.
number one is what people usually do, and that is being a pussy. they whine and complain, and cling to others.
number two is that they become troopers, ice cubes, ignoring their own emotions, marching through it all, and gaining the respect of others.
my friend said that she was above both solutions.
i couldn't help but think that she was so very wrong.
no one would ever be above this.
in fact, if anyone did not troop or be a pussy, that would imply that they have no problems.
everyone has problems, just in different degrees.
for most of this year, i'd been a pussy, moping about, trying to cling on to the little friends i had left.
i'd been too busy watching out for myself, that i didn't notice all these bigger problems around me.
while i'd been sitting around, trying to figure out what to do merely over a former best friend, some people i knew were going through life or death situations.
strangely enough, however, people trusted me, and told me their problems.
i even ended up making a list.
i tried to solve the problems, and try to make them better.
i started concentrating less on my own pains.
those people that i had helped, were there to support me and my problems.
the sunshine had come again.
i realized, that for some people, there is a third way, besides being a pussy or a trooper.
the third way was this,
to heal and help oneself by helping others.
as bizarre as it seems, it worked.
and i hope it'll work for others who have discovered the third way too.
